My son has known that I’m transgender since he was very young. He’s always known me as his dad. But for children who are older, it can be a very confusing time. Watching a parent go through transition brings up many feelings and questions. Luckily, we now live in a time when there are resources for these kids. Below are a few books I’ve found that will help a child understand what is happening and why it is happening. It may take some time, but eventually it will be easier for them to accept.
